Have just emailed out our feedback form for everyone to let us know of their experience with the program this year.
Any feedback will be much appreciated.
I had a soft release of an update at the start of September with a few updates and fixes for a couple of people. I won’t be fully releasing this version and it will just be rolled up into the update for the start of 2018.
It had a couple of big changes including some pretty huge memory improvements when showing large images and also makes it easier to import the licence file.
Work on next years version is also continuing well.
Custom Slides are now saved to a database instead of just a folder structure it currently uses. This just gives a bit more flexibility to the slides and will let us create slides that aren’t matched to a vote presentation.
Now that I have finally started using a database it will now be easier for me to store other settings.
One such setting will be the presentation scheduler which I’m hoping to be able to create before next year.
The idea is that you would be able to schedule your whole presentation night so you can set each vote count to run automatically after each other instead of having to close and select the new one.
You would also be able to run custom slides in between vote presentations as well. Not sure if that sounds like much but it should be very useful and make the whole presentation more professional.
I was playing with automatically running presentations after each other this year and had problems with reinitialising the presentation for the new count without fully closing and starting it. I’m planning on this being one of the main features for next year so will hopefully be able to get around these issues.
